Shantanu Naidu: From Protecting Stray Dogs with Motopaws to Partnering with Ratan Tata

Shantanu Naidu, a young man with a heart as big as the city, couldn't ignore the countless stray dogs he saw every day. They were vulnerable, often struck by speeding vehicles at night. A spark of inspiration ignited within him. He knew he had to do something.

Thus, Motopaws was born. With a team of dedicated volunteers, Shantanu began crafting "glow-in-the-dark" collars from denim and reflective materials. These collars would make the dogs visible to drivers, even in the darkest of nights. The initiative was simple yet profound.

Shantanu’s persistence paid off when he finally received a response from Ratan Tata, a renowned philanthropist and dog lover. Moved by Shantanu’s passion and the impact of Motopaws, Tata provided the necessary funding. With this support, Motopaws expanded rapidly, reaching cities across India. Thousands of dogs were now safer, thanks to Shantanu’s vision and the organization's tireless efforts.

Shantanu’s connection with Ratan Tata deepened over time. He became a trusted associate, even serving as Tata's business assistant. The young man who once worried about the safety of stray dogs was now working alongside one of the most influential figures in Indian business. But Shantanu never forgot his roots. His heart still belonged to the streets, to the dogs he had vowed to protect. And Motopaws continued to shine, a beacon of hope for countless furry friends.
